At Agentpoint we have just finished developing a google base wordpress plugin which allows a real estate agency to automatically post their property listings on Google Maps Australia the new real estate listing site in Australia.

What is great about the plugin is that the url for the full property details is the actual property link back to the agent’s website. Why is this essential? Because it means browsers will click through to the agents website to view further details meaning as an agent you can market your other properties and capture enquiry details.

Many of the third party portals agents send their listings to also send the properties to Google meaning these portals receive the traffic back from Google. Google have constructed their real estate listing system so that if the original agent lists their property on Google, any other ads for that property from real estate portals on google will be removed and a secondary link placed in the agents listings. This basically means that the majority of browsers who view your listing on Google Real Estate will end up back on your website rather than a real estate portal.

How do we do this? Through a wordpress RSS Plugin which searchers all active listings in the database and then notifies Google of them. If you are interested in getting your listings on google then please contact me and we can discuss this further.

We have just completed a dynamic web application called Mohbe which allows any real estate agent in the World to have a dedicated mobile phone website for each of their property listings. The mobile phone website is viewable through any mobile phone which has an internet browser and access to the internet. We spent considerable time making sure we optimised the mobile phone website to the thousands of different handsets on the market.

What makes this product completely unique are the options available to a property seeker to get the property url into their mobile phone. Mohbe users the latest in barcode technology by allocating a QR Code to each property. A property seeker will scan this QR Code using their mobile phone camera which will then automatically load the mobile property page in the phone’s browser. For those users who do not have a camera phone, they can quickly enter the Mohbe tiny property url into their browser eg Mohbe.com/3467.

Agents have the option to upload their listings manually through the Mohbe interface or they can automatically send property data feeds via xml through to the Mohbe xml parser.

Agentpoint successfully integrated xml, with a wordpress platform which allows for complete account management and secure payments through PayPal while developing a mobile phone website which are compatible with the large number of different phones on the market.

We have been very busy in the past 24 hours launching two great WordPress websites. The first was a redesign of Business2, a real estate news and technology blog we operate. We are making the Business2 WordPress Theme available to purchase for anyone who wants a really nifty blog with the latest in Social Networking & Web 2.0 technologies.

The latest website we have launched is Lawford International project website. We were required to re-develop much of our current technology and a new design and layout was used for property pages.

Over the past 8 weeks our developers have been absolutely flat chat working on some fantastic WordPress applications for the real estate industry. Some are client based and others are joint ventures we are involved.
